hey everyone!

i'm so excited to be heading to the land of my people, this summer for 3 weeks.
i'm having a hard time setting a general plan of attack because of course, i want to see everthing, all over europe for the next 6 months.
on that note, this is what i have

leave nyc 7/20
rome--4 days
siena--2 days
florence--3 days
pisa(maybe?)--2 days
monterossa--2 days (beach)
milan--2 days (meeting up with my mom's!)
venice--2 days
rome--2 days
back to nyc

heres the thing...i dont want to feel like i'm running around the country with my head cut off. this is a lets look at art, take lots of photos and drink lots of cafe kinda of trip. at the same time, yeah, this is 3 weeks and i want to see a lot.
does this look reasonable? the thing with milan-->venice-->rome is something my mom wants to do...no biggie...
anyone going to be around these parts to meet up?!

suggestions are very welcome!

Hey, your itinerary looks good for the most part, however, you will only need at most 1 day in Pisa, its pretty dull and boring there, so might as well move on after seeing the tower...

I agree on Pisa. If u want you can go early in the morning, but I bet by 4pm you'll be out of there. It's well worth a visit though!

Hello, so I would agree that Pisa is ok for a day, but thats it, not much to see but the leaning tower, of course is pretty etc.... But if you are going to use travel days, I say go to Napoli. It is a very crazy and hectic city, only good to see in short spells, but you have the opportunity to jump on a ferry at Porto Beverello and go to the Isle of Capri and see the blue grotto, or go to Ischia Isaland "the green Island". It is a Volcanic Island, so you have thermal springs, plus the benefit of being on a mediteranian island with a volcano. If you choose Ischia, go to Forio, it is a very beautiful and charming city. There is a hostel in Napoli right at Porto Beverello called the Hostel of the sun, and on Ischia, the hostel to stay at is the Ring Hostel. Google either one, and you will get results. Happy Traveling!!!
