Club covers are typically $40-$60 US... But you can make friends with a PR or two to try to get passes. Drink prices? Fuhgettabout it. Pre-party with your own stash that you brought from the mainland, or be prepared to score some non-alcoholic intoxicands (nudge-nudge, wink-wink)
I'd still go for it though.. it'd be a helluva experience. Beergal should be able to fill you in on all the dirt.

i cant believe there is a poll for this ha ha YES DEFINATELY GO
ok club prices can vary from anything from £25 to £50 if its some type of big event
it can be very expensive if your hitting all of the big clubs try drinking lots before you go as i remember paying £10 about $18 for a single jack daniels and coke in manumission once this should cut down on some of the cost and if you stay in the west end (san antonio) there are also free buses that take you to all the clubs and bring you home or take you on to space

Thanks for the info. The reason that I was indecisive was due to the fact that that Club scene is really nothing new and exciting, and I am on a limited budget. But I think that I might take your advice and go for 2 nights and just get trashed before I go out.

there is always something new and exciting in ibiza! dont forget manumission changes their weekly event every year..and you have to be careful about the days you go..cos it would be a bummer to get to ibiza and the decent clubs have nothing on that night

50 pounds to get into a club!!! that's $122AUD!!! and $25AUD for a drink!!! Well, i was gonna go there but there is no way that i can afford that. Damn, that's disappointing. oh well, i'm sure there's lots of other good places to party in mexico. Damn the weak aussie dollar.

Cheap. At least, compared to the rest of western Europe. (except maybe Portugal)
A litre(!) of beer is typically 1-2€. There are generally 2 choices at most bars - the crappy San Miguel, as well as the French brewed Kronenbourg 1664 (yummy). Various regions will also have their own local brews - for instance Barcelona has the prid of Catalunya - Estella Damm - which by all accounts tastes just like Budweiser. As usual, you'll pay a bit more in more touristy/trendy places, but it's still a bargain.
Hard liquor can be cheap, depending on where you go and what the specials are. A shot can be had for as little as 2€, but the shots tend to be TINY. (Typical, measured BS) Mixed drinks are usually charged for a shot and the mixer, running from a total of 3€ at some places to 10€ in others. A good bar will forgo measuring the shot and pour you a healthy amount of [fill-in-your-spirit-of-choice] and give you a bottle of mixer to go with it, all for a good price. I found a spot in non-tourist Barcelona where I was getting a very tall glass of rum and a coke for 2.50€ a pop!

Ibiza's an island off Spain I think. Thousands of miles from mexico....

Ibiza is in the mediterranean (sp?, i dont care) off the coast of spain.
my friend has an apartment in spain and said he's been there a number of times and its the best nightlife experience he's ever seen. its very expensive but its worth it because people party all night. i personally would love to go and i hope that i get the chance someday.
here's a map of spain, it's off the coast to the right
Ibiza

you can go to a semi-empty club for $10 - $20 covers, or the place to be for $around $60. be aware it is usually $10 beers, which blows, with the cover you usually get 2 drinks. watch out for the bad E, a couple people died at the club i was at, so i heard. there was also people laying all over the place, on something, i just sat in the mellow out room all night, it was not worth the $60. the beaches were nice, but i would rather kick in Barcelona or Valencia. the girls are wild though.

so here is the deal about ibiza. all the talk about it being the party capital of the world are pretty much true. there are really amazing clubs, with world class/famous dj's every night. the downside is that it will leave you broke.
covers, drinks, etc will leave you hurting pretty bad, but at the same time, its pretty much a 'you'll only be here once in your lifetime' kinda place.
it's just like how people go to venice and take 100 euro gondola rides, or how people pay crazy prices to get surfing lessons in hawaii, or any of the other overpriced things around the world that you take the attitude of 'well i'll only be here once' or something like that.
is ibiza worth it? in general probably not. spain has awesome clubs throughout the whole country, ibiza just has a lot in a little area. i would say this though, if you go to ibiza, take the 'i'll only be here once' attitude. if last years hott club has a 40 dollar cover and this years club is 60. drop the 60 and party like a rock star. you'll come back broke but filled with memories, if you do it any other way you'll come back broke and with nothing really memorable about the trip.

I can't really comment, seeing as the only time I went to Ibiza, I was 4 years old! I wasn't much of a party animal back then
