During my Mexico travels i stayed in a hostel called the Mayflower in Puerto Escondido. The hostel has a really cool social area on the roof with a pool table and TV, it was full of people every night so i had a blast.

The only other hostel in town is called the Shalom and i was told be people staying there that it wasnt very good at all. So if you are ever in Puerto Escondido i would highly recommend Hostel Mayflower :thumbup:
