hi, perhaps wwm can answer this, looking at going to turkey and then flying to egypt, have a tour of egypt booked and spending some extra time there maby a week or so. I think that will go smoothly. Have not got anything for turkey, was looking at the FEZ bus system but it does not seem to run when I will be there nov-dec ish will be there about 1 mth. Any other ideas on how to get round and any tips for a single white vegetarian female?

Single, white vegetarian female, eh? Well, if I remember correctly, Turkey's cuisine is very meat-based (which is probably why I enjoyed it so much).

Anyway, I didn't do the Fez bus system...unfortunately, my time got cut down by full flights from the U.S. to Europe, and I had to pare my itinerary down to just Istanbul (Constantinople, Istanbul...). Let's see, though, from Egypt to Turkey, eh?

Did you check the flights on Turkish Airways or Egypt Air? I know Turkish used to run a special that if you buy a flight to Istanbul, you could get another one to a different part of Turkey for little to nothing extra. I think it was their way of getting people off exploring the interior. I know I really wanted to see the Ancient ruins at Ephesus (Izmir), and I'd love to go see Cappodocia with its weird rock formations and stunning scenery (I hear).

Sorry, bp, I guess I'm short on specifics...just lots of enthusiasm!

Istanbul, not Constantinople.
Every gall that's in Constantinople, lives in Istanbul not Constantinople
So if you've got a date in Constantinople, she'll be waiting in Istanbul.
Even old New York was once New Amsterdam.
Why'd they change it I can't say, they just liked it better that way.
So take me back to Constantinople, No you can't go back to Constantinople.
Been a long time gone, Constantinople. Why did Constantinople get the works...
That's nobody's business but the Turks.

Mike ought to appreciate it.

I am glad somebody understands my singing.

Now we need more topics I can sing to, perhaps presidents, New York City, Birdhouses, Racism, Thomas Edison, dozens of topics to cover.

Yes, and as everyone just passes over this post with a confused look thinking I have fallen off my rocker.

So Mike, how many albums do you have?

Oh its alright... I'm just one of those attention starved children of society. My mother didn't hug me enough or something.

Funny you should mention albums, Rob. I think my entire album collection (LPs) just got ruined. I worked a double on Thursday, came home from work at 9 pm, opened my apartment door and heard the sound of gushing water. My pipes had burst, and my utility room and closets were soaked. My albums were stored in a milk crate in the closet, and the covers got drenched.

Trying to air them out, but I'm thinking they're goners...

That blows mike.... I would be so distraught if my albums got ruined. I love my vinyl. Sorry to hear that. I had a buddy that lived in an apartment in Peoria and he had his place flood like 3 times. Terrible stuff flooding is.
