Not that I would do such a thing...but if a theoretical group of college students went to acapulco for spring break on the cheap, staying at a non all inclusive cheaper hotel...and they had heard of a hypothetical situation wherein you get all inclusive bracelets from from a not so honest resort employee for a few bucks their way... anyone here heard of such a travesty being committed and/or know details of how it is accomplished?

ive never been to acapulco...but ive been to cancun twice...and ya everyone says you can pay off hotel guards to do just about anything you want...which may be the case...but i just havent encountered those guards...at both resorts i was at, the security was super tight and not budging....some friends of ours however cut their bracelets off, paid $100 to replace them, then gave them to other people and stuck them together with gum....haha...but it actually worked

I've never seen it at a resort but when ever there's a big concert in Philly people will try to get wrist bands to get into the 'pit' or GA section. I've seen many ways: Asking people to cut of the left over part of their wrist bands and then taping different pieces together (since all you have to do is flash it at the guards) also I've seen people bring in a few different color sharpies and color a piece of paper then tape it around their wrist.

I think if I were going to go somewhere as commercialized as that I would definately have no qualms about working out such an arragement. I think you pretty much need to have a friend on the inside though.

update - back from acapulco, never actually did try to scam into an all inclusive, there really wasn't any of them i was interested in hanging out in. All the clubs we went to didnt have deals for all inclusive people, and liquor was cheap enough at the stores to keep you going during the day. I think Cancun or PV would be a better place to pull something like that.
