Hi Carisia!
I spent a few days in Mexico City and thought it was great. The subway was a fine way to get around. They WERE packed at rush hour, but were fine at other times during the day. There are lots of neat, historic sights in the city (make sure you take a trip just out of town to Teotihucan (spelling?) -- the Aztec sight.
Also, we always seem to hear such horror stories about Mexico City's traffic and crime and crowding. I saw nothing of the sort there...the Mexican people were genuinely friendly and would take time out to make sure you found what you were looking for or were enjoying your visit.
When are you planning on going, Carisia?

Just wanted to bump this thread as I'll be taking a trip to Mexico City in a couple of months If anyone has any new and exciting input about the city, please feel free to share with your old friend!
Hey Mike, where'd you stay when you were down there? I'm havin a hard time deciding on a place. You know I don't want to stay in a hostel, and I would prefer to have my own bathroom... my budget is $40-50 night (for something charming) Thanks
