Low budget girl VS Frence Polynesia

Since these islands are one of my dreams that I needed to acheive and the fact that they are one of the expensive places for island hopping. I really need your helps about where and how to start for a low budget girl like me to make it happen. I'm now living in NYC.

I am going to go there somday dammit! I have been semi-looking into it and thought a great budget idea would be taking a water taxi to one of the deserted islands. Apparently lots of them have little sheds 'n stuff you can sleep in for free! But there is NOTHING on the island and some of them are only metres across.

Would be great for a few days, just taking your food 'n water and soaking in the scenery and sun!! Not a soul in sight.

I can't remember which agencies do it, but some of them out there can get you down there and provide lodging fairly cheap via package deals (well, relative compared to putting it all together yourself) - If I run into one of these again, I'll definitely post it up. Something like around $700 for air to Tahiti (from LA), as well as hotel and transport within the islands.. not bad!!

Air Tahiti Nui flies from NYC durect to Tahiti, I just saw a commericial for it It starts in July.

It shouldn't be THAT expensive, if it is, go to STA travel for a good deal.

ahh, i just checked out of curiousity the price with Air Tahiti Nui from JFK to Tahiti in like September-October and it's sooo expensiveeee $1655. Yea...check like STA to see if you can get a better deal.
