So I was searching around the internet today, and came across this car rental company...SIXTI. It rents out SMART CARS and other vehicles. You can rent a SMART CAR fora pretty affordable price. You could use it for day trips, or a couple days off the beaten trail where publi transit is not available. I think I will be trying this out the next time I a in Europe.

Keep in mind that most rental agencies require the renter to be at least 25 years old, some are only 21 but then you have to pay extra.

One thing to keep in mind...if your a U.S. citizen and have a drivers license and want to rent overseas....go to a local AAA office and get an international drivers permit...costs like $10. Many countries require that for you to rent and some countries may require that for you to technically be a legal driver. Every country is different.

No test required or anything...its basically a standard international format that says you are licensed in your own country....it has your picture in it, etc. It is usually valid only for a short time....one month, two months, etc.

Some countries will let you buy a Visitor's Driver's License when you rent a car.. I bought one in the British Virgin Islands for $5 So now I can say I have a BVI Driver's License.

Time of day when you rent a car or other periods, it is very important to find a good deal to save as much as possible on the car rental to make money. Rent a car at any time and will not be a problem, as long as you have the necessary documents.
