Default Canyoning Question!

I'm currently trying to pack for my month long trip to Europe, and I've having trouble with shoes... I wear flip-flops constantly, and I hate sneakers. So, I'm planning on wearing tevas most of the time, and I have a cute pair of sketchers that are kind of sneaker-like, but don't tie up for a change sometimes, or when flip-flops just aren't right. However, I want to go canyoning in Interlaken... do I need a really sturdy pair of shoes for this, or do they provide shoes? I don't want to carry around real sneakers that I'll only wear once... I looked on various websites, and they say to bring a towel and swimwear, but nothing about shoes... It seem like they provide outfits at least from the pictures... any advice from those who have been there? Thanks!

I have not been...yet. Two friends and i are going on June 4th with Outdoor Interlaken. They tell me boots are provided for the actual canyoning trip. What you wear to and from is up to you. Hope it helps and have fun.

They'll definitely give you water shoes and everything else you need. The shoes just have rubber soles and are slip in.. pretty comfy . Be prepared for freezing cold water . Canyoning is a real trip, I plan on doing a bunch this summer in Europe.
