So...my boss is thinking of looking for translators in New Zealand - should be a bit cheaper than in Europe

I know they speak english, but do they use british or american spelling, or do they have their own special spelling rules?

ummm, yea i think we use british spelling, but its not all that different from american, i just get caught up with the spelling of colour? color? ahhh one way is american one way is british/nz? The joys of spending too much time on the internet!

NZ is an awesome place! Although i can't compare to Europe! and i can't wait till i go to europe! But i imagine that it would be a lot cheaper! unless you live in Auckland or Wellington maybe?

Someone else from Wangas! Never thought that i would find someone else from here on tpunk! Goss in Wangas? Yeah Right! Nothing exciting happens here, you should know that! Although i do think it is quite a pretty town, i just wouldnt want to stay here for more than a day or two if i was travelling! Not really here under protest, more because its a lot cheaper than going out on my own in the 'real world', may be moving to CHCH next year though! Then a year or so later finally going on my OE, have study to attend to in the mean time!

Where are you at?

yeh, those 3 years of french at high school were a complete waste of time. unless i wanted to go to akaroa and behave like typical french southerner. i got howled at by a parisian to stop butchering their mother tongue and to please speak english. cant blame a kid for trying.
my cuz-in-law speaks french, spanish and one other i think, shes got a cool job working with the french rally car drivers during the WRC when it comes down under. so there are a few multilingual kiwis out there.
im having fun trying to get my tongue around italian at the moment. 1 year on and im almost fluent. living in the culture makes a huge difference. if only my 4th form french teacher could see me now!!
ciao for now
