Hey, my name's Nick, I'm a 21-year-old student from Illinois.

I have a job in northeast Germany I'm leaving for on June 14. I will be working there for two months and hopefully travelling a bit on weekends. After the internship ends in mid-August I will be travelling through Europe until I start school in England in late September.

I've been here collecting information for a while, but I'm hoping to become more involved in the community here and possible meeting up with some people while I'm overseas.

One question I was thinking about starting a thread about but I might as well ask here. I'm going to be bringing a large suitcase over for the trip, but I don't necessarily want to be lugging it around all the time, especially during that month when I don't have a fixed place to stay for extended time. Any suggestions about this? Is there any place I could store luggage safely for about a month while I travelled?

Hey there, welcome! Unfortunately, these days there really are very few options for long-term luggage storage. I'd say your best bet is to perhaps try to store it with the friends you'll inevitably make, if possible. Train stations have lockers but they're usually only short-term, i.e. 72 hours max (in my experience).

Good luck and have a great time.

Would it be possible to leave it in a storage room at work ?

And welcome on travelpunk.com !

Yeah checking at work may be an idea...although I'd probably need it sent on to school for me, I probably won't be going back to where I'm working after I leave...
