I'd do Toledo in a heart beat ... then Segovia. There is a bus you can take up out of town from Toledo. You exit at some retirement facility or hospital ( can't remember) and walk across the street and head out towards the edge of the hill ( a little up and a little out) and it gives you dramatic views of the city and the river that cuts through it. I have bad news though ... no Europe trip this summer ... bummer ... lotta stuff has happened in the last two weeks, and I don't think it would be good if i went now ... and it's really killing me I wanna go baaaddd. But I was planning on starting in london ( me and my bro really wanna get to kensington market for a hair do and tatoo) then the rest of UK, down to france, italy, swiss, austria, germany, we really want to check out the WW2 historical sites. especially Aushwitz, Buchenwald, Dachau, and the other concentration camps. we plan ( when we actually go) on bringing a tent (maybe) and sleeping bags, and actually "backpack" some of the time. We wanna do it on as little money as possible so we may do some hitchhiking. Not sure though ... and probably prague, the sweden, norway, finland then goto the iberian peninsula and finish with a couple weeks across spain. everything is preliminary, but as you know most of the fun of backpacking is not giving a damn about plans and doing what you want on a spur of the moment. kimball
