my name is mike. i'm from new haven, connecticut.
my interests include punk rock, scrabble and girls.
three years ago i decided to go to europe once a year, no matter what, even though i'm usually kinda poor (the things we sacrafice to have a cool job...). somehow i've managed to stick to my plan so i feel now maybe i can post here without seeming like a complete amateur.
i did the munich thing and the amsterdam thang and now this year i just bought tickets to...
dun, duh dunnnn...
bern, switzerland.
my friend jj and i will be heading to interlaken to do some extreme-sporting, but i was wondering if anyone had any other ideas. we can only go for a week but i want it to be as memorable as possible (ie. i want to meet as many people as possible)

Stay in Interlaken the whole week. I wouldve stayed longer if I had more time. I met backpackers who had been there for close to a month with no intention of leaving. Its that kind of place.

i've heard that geneva is kinda stale. can anyone confirm this?
