After snooping around for a while, I figured I'd finally say 'hello'. My name is Kate and I am planning a summer trip all over Europe with my best friend. This is an awesome site, very helpful for a first timer like myself. I leave in a little over 2 weeks, so all the info is helping me calm my jitters. Can't wait, and maybe see some of y'all around!

Welcome to the boards Kate! That is a great name too (as my gf's name is Katie...). I just got back from Europe and we are very fortunate the exchange rates are slanting to the favor of the USA. I am already planning my next trip and it is a year away! Have a great time and be sure to share stories and pictures with us!!

Well, as of now....
We land in London and spend a few day there...then off to Amsterdam...then Paris (my birthday is Bastille day so we decided if we were that close we had to go!)...and then the rest of the trip traveling around Italy. The trip was originally just Italy, but we "expanded" it.

So that's the plan, but who knows, we're kinda leaving some things up in the air.

Welcome to the site Kate! Yes you are correct, this site is totally awesome... I have never found such a great group of people, or such a great collection of tips for traveling the budget way. Hope you have a great time in Europe this year... and any questions you know who to ask!
