I am a recovering lurker, if you will. As a hard of hearing guy, I lived through other people's lives for a long time, especially the lives of the men in my family who all lived very interesting lives. I decided one day that I need to live my life.
But once you get a taste of life, there is no looking back. Once you step foot on a Jet and go to a foreign land, you just want more of it. My first trip was to Italy and I explored everything. I was able to lose myself in that land and learn more about myself. I think it is hard to do that at home. You know the history, the buildings, and the people. But in a foreign land, you learn more history, see more buildings, meet new people. But most importantly, familiarity isn't there to potect you.
That was bit touchy.
But the point is that you need to get out there. We are social beings after all.
