Hows it goin everybody. My names Jamie, i'm 19, from Canada. My 3 buddies and I are leaving for Europe September 8th for 3 months. We just picked up our eurorail passes which are good for 17 countries and should last us untill we leave. Were arriving in Copenhagen, and Leaving from Medrid. We will basicly be useing our euro passes for all their worth and will try to visit every country we can. We're on a pretty small budget and Hostils will not be an everyday thing. I was wondering if anyone has had experience with camping out? because that seems like what we are presently leaning towards.

Thanks,

Hello there, welcome!

I don't have much experience camping *in Europe*, but depending on where you're going to be at what time, you may want to make sure you have some really warm sleeping bags.

Also, keep in mind that camping may seem like a cheaper alternative to hostels but if you factor in the cost of the campground, the distance from areas of interest and the amount of gear you need to lug around with you, sometimes it's not so good. Just a thought.

Have a great trip!!

Welcome

I've done a lot of camping in Europe and really enjoy my experiences doing so. The down side is carrying your gear (tent) everywhere. I often camped in fields, on beaches, where ever I felt I would be safe and not got in trouble.
