How giddy am I???? OUR tix are booked!!!! Oh sweet Jesus! LOL.

So, I've been watching MY tickets for about four weeks now waiting for fin aid to come in (long ol story)... They're not going up - oh no, they're very stagnant.

So, today comes along with a big ol check. So, I log in to the site where I'd been watching my precious tickets... So, I click em, and they're not available - oh of course they're sold out! (As if I didn't have enough drama waiting for that stupid check!!!). So, I start checkin all over... and it's all gone up about 50 bones (times two for me and hubby).

Finally I go to the Aer Lingus (yeah, I giggled a little) and find my ticket (okay, it wasn't MY ticket, cuz mine was through AA, but they suck anyhow and who wants to take an international flight on an American flight?? but it was only 25 more) and show Jake when he gets home from work. I'm like "should I??" and we both panic a little. So, we decided to go eat and then do it when we get back. Gone for less than 3 HOURS and check on MY new ticket and it went up like 50 dollars!!!

So, I check on a new site and they find my ticket for the same price as original. I go to book adding two people and the DAMN thing goes up again! So, Jake and I booked it (two separate tickets) as one person from our two different computers. Ooh, sneaky. Hopefully we'll get in early enough to sit next to each other!

So long story short - we booked our tickets to Ireland - we go there for a couple of weeks, head to the main island to visit with family, go to Corsica for a work exchange and then who knows?? Super sweet dude, super sweet.

And, I filed my tax return and it's so much huger than expected!!!!!li

What a happy day! Now, I'm sitting here drinking Killians (can you tell?? LOL) and chillin - we leave on June 13!

Have a great trip! Enjoy an Irish black and tan. Beamish Stout and Smithwicks Ale. It doesn't get any better than that!!

And thus begins the nerve-wracking-yet-blissful countdown.

Make sure you get a fresh Guinness at the bar on top of the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin. The tour & merchandise are a bit pricey, but worthwhile!

Yeah, I'm still all giddy. Ugh, the countdown began in JUNE!! Now we just have an official date - it'll be a year of planning... Aww. We should celebrate the anniversary.

Will definitely do a (or several? ) black and tans for ya.

Okay, I'll kiss the ground KCL, but if I get beat up for it by some Irishman, I'm coming after you!

It'll be a fun time. Can't wait.

Nah, you won't get beat up. It was something my FOB (fresh off the boat...she was actually born on the boat from Irelan to the US) grandmother used to do. She would kiss the ground whenever she got back home or to her destination. She said it was a Irish family thing.
