Just wanted to poke my head in and say hello. My first trip to Europe is coming up May 10-June 3 (London, Amsterdam, Berlin, Rome, Paris) and I figured I'd introduce myself. My name's Jeremy and I'm a 28-year-old guy from Iowa (Pella/Des Moines area if you know where that is)- yeah, Iowa's that little state everyone outside the midwest seems to confuse with Idaho and Ohio.

Good to see such a great community here that's willing to share information and help one another out. I'll add my "wisdom" with time.

Great to be here!

*pats everyone on the ass just for kicks*

Oops..sorry Joan.

I helped coach a small college track team for a few years after I graduated. Middle distance, Steeplechase (3,000m - the 3K part), etc. The username doesn't really fit anymore but I've used it for a while and it's just "comfy."

Rozza - I have 23 days or so to circle from London over to Berlin, down to Rome and up to Paris/Normandy to depart.

I honestly don't have a lot set in stone - so my trip is mostly just wandering wherever the winds (and trains) take me between major waypoints. I don't want to be too rushed but there's a lot of ground to cover in my 23 days. I'm a little worried I won't have much time to sit and enjoy the scenery.

Tecia - Not sure what land bridge you are talking about, but I know at least a couple folks from south Chicago - old college roommate was from South Holland if I remember right.

And Phlipfudge - don't even bring those weak Minnesota jokes out - you are all just jealous of how much better our state is. One of the small schools in Wisconsin? LaCrosse, Oshkosh etc. were always tough to compete against.

Thanks for the welcome all!

Welcome to the boards Coach... I can see you have already made yourself at home. That's good to hear. Have a blast overseas.

Well Joan, that is quite the offer.
