Hello from the Heartland!
Hello all! I am a 25-year-old ardent lover of travel who hails from Minnesota. I am hoping to embark on a backpacking trip to Europe next summer with a friend of mine, and am happy to soak up any knowledge you seasoned backpackers may have for me!
Happily, I am not a travel newbie. I have been to Ireland, N. Ireland, England, France, Italy, Croatia, Turkey and Egypt, and got to study in Galway, Ireland for 5 blissful months. It's been awhile since my last travel adventure so I am itching to get going again! My interests include classic literature, fine art, quaint architecture, beautiful natural areas, random little adventures, unusual souvenirs, and exploring.
Pleased to meet you all!

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone!
Next summer I am hoping to go to the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic. Greece is a possibility as well, despite the awkwardness of how to get there from the Czech Republic. Backpacking through Europe is something I've wanted to do for several years now, and every aspect of planning it excites me (seriously, I was excited about travel-sized bugsprays today. Not kidding). Hopefully one of my best friends can go with me, but if not, I might just set out on my first long solo trip!

Hi expatben! When I'm in Belgium I am particularly interested in biking, as I love to bike here at home and hear they have a big network of trails over there. I also want to see Bruges.

Belgium and the Netherlands are awesome for biking because of their flatness. Brugges is sooooooooooooooooo pretty you will love it there!
