hello :) just joined
hello everyone, my name is Neil. this BB has great info on backpacking.
Im actually going to be taking my first trip next month. ive always wanted to backpack across the world but work has always held me back.... now i have an opprunity to relax and see what ive been missing.
going to start in my own homeland, the ole USA.. taking a few months to explore around, start in san diego, travel north, then east.. visit family and friends, stay in hostels, meet new people and see what ive always wanted to see.. and then, i think im off to chile to visit family ive never met and see where my family came from.. or to europe or egypt.. dunno yet.. just wanna get use to
so hi. .and thanks for all the great info/tips!

I am always torn when I travel abroad because I have yet to fully explore my own country. Sounds like a great first trip.
