Default Long time, no Louse

I finally have something to post about/ can be bothered. I have been in Dublin since June becoming more and more crazy and being unemployed most of the time as well. Lots of adventures and lots of depressing times in this, the scum pool of the universe. The weather is so shit and so is the fashion. And people can't walk straight... I HATE walking to city centre. Sorry Ireland. I do love hating you.
Anyway, I am currently working in a hostel which is quite fantastic though also a bit shit, and... planning a trip to South Korea! I met a boy (oooooh) and I want to visit him. Actually, we met when he moved out and I moved in at our old house. Bad timing, he was off backpacking around Europe. He has been back twice (aww so sweet) and now is home.
I am so excited! Finally another continent! I have become kinda bummed here in Europe, I really want to go home, but Korea on the way will be awesome.
There. Now I've posted it I have to do it.

In case you don't believe that I have become even more crazy here's proof:

From the week I spent cleaning during and after Oxygen, sleeping in a stable with 3 french men. We scavenged all the leftovers from the dirty festival attendees. They left all their tents, filled with clothes, food, beer, torches etc etc etc... I also found €120 which saved me when I got back and had to pay rent... The guy wasn't so impressed that I paid in very dirty muddy money though.

Good to see you back on the boards ! I love your muddy money story.

Now that you have to go to South Korea, do you have any idea when you will?

hey girl, glad to hear your back. I was actually wondering about you the other day. Sorry to hear about Ireland. Have you tried just drinking more? I hear that helps in all manners of things...

Anyway goood luck in S.K.!!

I could probably help you out with the Netherlands.

Great to hear from you again girl!! I was wondering if things were going well in Ireland, no posts in a long time. Glad you are well though. Looks as if Korea might be just the thing to get you back in good travel spirts. Keep us posted on your departure etc....

I'm glad you posted! I had been meaning to ask where the hell you'd been, but I'm a sporadic board checker since I'm not f***ing around on the job anymore, and I didn't want to be the one who just missed your posts cause I'm lame.

LOVE the look. Sounds like you're having a blast! Gotta tell us all about Korea.

Wow. I'm not going to lie, you look like the kind of person I'd cross the street to avoid making eye contact with. You do look fucking crazy. But I'm glad you're enjoying your adventures!

^ hehe. that was a fairly mean thing to say but i have to agree! (in the most loving way of course)

good to hear you're still out there, you have to go to south korea as it would be the ultimate in randomness, i am always a believer in following guys around the world (that's what got me to europe and back!) ok sure its never reeaally worked out for me but i'll take any excuse to travel and it always leads to something cool in the long run. now all i need is for my boyfriend to spontaneously go overseas so i 'have to' go too....

Sounds like you've been having some crazy times! I'm all about following boys places, but then I get sidetracked on the way and end up doing something else random instead.

Now THAT is a fucking awesome compliment! Just think of the poor guests in this hostel though... Nah, we have lots of fun. Well, I do.

I just remembered I made this thread, oops. But reading this at the end of a long shitty day has been great! I'm so excited, now just need to figure out the whole handing in two weeks notice but not so soon that they actually don't give me any more shifts out of spite because the guy I work with is a dick and I need more money but I don't want to get stuck in Ireland. Or in South Korea because I can't afford a ticket home...:S
But yeah! Hopefully in a few weeks time I'll be living in S. Korea. Fuck I'm freaking out! But so excited! Just logistics suck... I need to somehow get to England and pick up all my luggage and get it to Aus.. actually I'll probably fly to Korea from London as it is much cheaper than from Dublin. I dunno. It's very overwhelming.

Unless you're planning to come back to the same job, I wouldn't worry too much about giving 2 weeks, especially if the guy's a dick. Figure out what works for you and just do it, once you're in Korea you won't give a shit what they think anyway. I'm sure it'll all work out for you, good luck with the planning!

Dublin is a hole, The rest of Ireland hate the place and especially the stuck up Dubliners. Their not all bad but most think Dublin is the centre of the Universe. We still call it the pale (the walled city controlled by the British during the occupation) because it's like a different country.

Don't judge Ireland on Dublin.

Have you not seen what I wrote in another thread about NYE in Amsterdam!!! Try Rotterdam or The Hague!!! But whatever you want... please don't be intimidated by all that explanation-marking.

In other news, I just bought my plane ticket and am therefore freaking out!!! That also explains why I am so liberal with punctuation. I leave on the 27th of Sept, and arrive at 11:30am the next day!!! Woooooooh!!!!!

I can't find the thread exactly but I think the jist of it was that Amsterdam is the nicest/your favorite city in the Netherlands and the only place with "coffeeshops" right?

oh...i've read them but am going with someone that wants to spend new years in amsterdam. i personally am pretty interested in it as well. something about the treat of being shot at with fireworks by a drunk dutchman.

one of my good friends lived in eindhoven until he was 16 and gave me the same warning, i realize this is in now way the 'real' holland. but i am willing to check it out. different strokes eh?
