Well, even though it can probably just go unstated, I've been lurking for a while, and finally buckled down and joined. So, I thought I'd finally introduce myself and say hi.

I'm Brandi, and I'm an American living in Singapore. I've lived here for almost four years now, so if you guys ever have any questions about Singapore, feel free to ask. I've traveled around much of SEA. I also lived in Japan for about seven years - Sasebo, Iwakuni, and Yokosuka. And various places in the states - but who cares about those! lol.

I'm planning on travelling around Eastern Europe for about two months early next summer. I graduate high school in December, and then I'm moving to Virginia, and then I plan on heading out as soon as I have enough money

So, I just want to say hi, and thank you guys for all of your information.

Haha you're absolutely right - I have no ideas about hostels here! I can tell you though that if you're looking at some and they happen to be in the Geylang area, thats kind of known as the prostitute area. Not that its unsafe or anything, just not exactly the highlight of Singapore lol. However, everywhere you stay will be relatively close to an MRT station so area isnt that big of a deal. I'd love to help with anything else though, lauren!
