Hi Everyone!!
I have a couple of fairly detailed questions that I am totally stuck trying to find answers to from books and the internet, here they are:
1. I am trekking Everest up until mid december and then wanted to travel overland into Tibet - is this possible? I have read that the border is closed and no tour companies go accross at this time? Also heard the airlines stop flying becuase its to cold? How do i get to Tibet from Nepal at this time?
2. I am from the UK and will be travelling around northern India for the month before - is it worth buying a warm coat and sleeping bag before i go? I have heard mixed reviews about what can be bought in Katmandu and its quality. Also what should I take for my bottom half, i am a bit worried i am going to be to cold?
3. I am a female travelling alone and wanted to make my own way up to everest base camp staying in tea houses along the way - is this a good idea?
4. My most important question - I wanted to join an organised tour to climb one of the peaks, but only from everest base camp onwards, i didn't want to have to follow a tour the whole way up, is this possible?
