Red face Good London hostel??

Well i had been counting on booking the Generator London for the first week I get to London (about 8th) but plans kept changing and so I kept delaying it and now I see they are completely booked out for that time (which i totally wasn't expecting seeing as they have like 800 beds...? ) So now i feel i'm screwed & didn't have a back-up hostel, so can anyone reccomend somewhere else? I really wanted a social place where i'll meet loads of people coz i'm travelling alone and planning to work in london for a year. But the location and cleanliness was also high on the list. Appreciate anyones help!!

St. Christophers wasn't bad, plus its right off the underground at the london bridge station.

Check out the Astor Hyde Park Hostel. It's located near the sights, and is very social. If you're there on the 13th, you'll probably see me around

I stayed at Ashlee House - wasn't bad right off tube station. I also stayed at london backpackers and that wasn't too bad, there's a pool table in the basement. DON'T STAY AT HOSTEL 639 it was absolutly horrible, way far out of london in a shady area, horrible rooms, shower stall is literally in the middle of the dorm rooms, and oh ya did i mention the crack addicts that hang out in the common room and the fact that it backs up to an old delapadated cemetery?
good luck, have fun!
