Plane Ticket Question
I'm about to buy my ticket for Europe. Are trip protection plans worthwhile? It's only 45 extra dollars, so I'm not sure if it would help in case a flight is canceled. I might get it, but I don't want to buy something useless.

Nevermind, I went ahead and bit the bullet and bought the trip protection plan. Worst case scenario, I wasted $45 bucks and I'll survive.

Good move kid. Protection is always good.

Now you got the peace of mind, don't worry about it

Given what's been going on this week with the airlines, good decision. Does it cover you if you get sick and have to cancel? I had that happen once, and got a $1300 refund on my ticket, which was well worth the premium - though I was bummed I missed my trip...

yeah, it covers me if I have to cancel (that would suck so much). I think it also covers me if I can prove that a family member is seriously ill/hospitalized and I have to cancel or interrupt my trip. I have to read through the insurance document carefully, but it was worth it just for peace of mind.

Hopefully you won't need it (and chances are good), but if you do, you'll never regret it.

Nothing to add to the topic at hand. =] But, where do you live in NC? I live in Wilmington.
|
I live in Charlotte for now at least. My cousin is going to UNC Wilmington next year. It's gotta be nice to live by the beach when summer time rolls around.
