Where to find adapters in France?

Hey mofos, I come with a rather obscure "emergency" question for yall.

Im in France with my sister right now, living it up in Strasbourg. But there's one problem: i lost my camera (FUCK), and my sister's has been out of batteries for the better part of a week!

We bought a US/European adapter at Radioshack back home, but we quickly learned that it is NOT suitable for most european outlets. Long story short, it doesnt fit, and we're having a lot of trouble keeping our only survivng camera alive!

Does anyone know in what kind of shop we could find a US/European electrical outlet adapter? Or, even easier, a weird-european/more-standard-european adapter? We've been on the lookout for some sort of electronics store, but havent noticed any. And I doubt locals would know where to find a foreign adapter in town. If anyone has any helpful information, I'd really appreciate it. Store names... or something. We're desperate!

i wish i could give you a definitive answer. same thing happened to us in Croatia, so we asked the Tourist Information people if they could help. They found us an electronics store which carried them. I tried to google french electronics stores but didnt come up with much. I would just try asking the locals, you never know, they might be able to help. Especially if you ask hotel clerks or other people who routinely deal with tourists. Bon Chance!

thanks a lot for replying! what ended up happening was my sister and i went on a "MISSION". luckily, the first shopping center we went into had a (really strange) electronics store, that happened to have ONE adapter left. So we were able to plug the battery into the charger into the convertor into the adapter into the outlet. SUCH BEAUTY!

bye bye, 25 euros! I guess it was worth it :D
