Default Cheap Hostel in Bilbao?

Anyone know of a cheap hostel to stay at when I'm in Bilbao, Spain?
All the ones I've seen on the internet cost around $40 a night.

Don't know if you saw this place, they have beds listed online for 15(EUR). I haven't stayed there or anything, so you'd have to check it out for yourself. Good luck with the search!

i cant personally vouch for these hostels, but heres what my lets go book reccommends:

Pension Mendez (singles 25 euro)

Pension Ladero (singles 18-22 euro...no reservations)

when are you going to be in bilbao? and for how long?

Default wow

people on this site respond ridiculously fast...

Thanks to the both of you who've posted so far.
I'll try calling the pensions tomorrow morning.

By the way, what's the difference between a pension and a hostel?

Brookers: I'll be in Bilbao from March 22 -29, doing some journalism. Are you in the city by any chance?

No, just wondering if you were there during a particularly busy week or anything...i wish i could be in spain again!

Here are the numbers my book lists for those pensions:

Pension Mendez - 16 03 64

Pension Ladero- 15 09 32

I am sorry but I totally cant remember what country codes you have to dial before those...grrr

Anywho...let me know if that helps any!
