I wanted to stay at the Flying Pig downtown in Amsterdam May 21-23. Waited till now to book it, stupid me and it's booked up for fri and sat nights. Should I go ahead and book for Sun night, and take my chances when I get there on Friday...I know they accept walk-in's, but no idea what my chances of getting a bed are. Should I just book somewhere else altogether? I appreciate your help!!

I don't know if you will have much of a chance. The Flying Pig downtown is quite the popular place. Did you check any of thir other locations that they have around A-dam? It won't quite be right downtown but they are all supposed to be pretty happening.

The Flying Pig Downtown was voted the #1 hostel world wide, by hostelworlds customers. This hostel consistently fills up fast!

That's what I would do. Or, book somewhere else for Friday and Saturday, then move on to The Pig for Sunday. Everyday in Amsterdam seems to be a Friday night, if ya know what I mean :greenguy:
The Buldog is also a top hostel and may be worth checking into.
Here is a list of all other hostels in Amsterdam that can be booked through our search engine- Amsterdam Hostels.
Good luck!

Thanks TP and Sijuki for getting back to me!
Tp-I checked out a ton of other hostels in A-dam for the same weekend, and seems like most are booked already. Guess I'll look around some more later on when I have more time. Bulldog was booked too
