I was just wondering, obviously its frowned upon to have sex in the dorms, but what if you and another person you met just want to sleep in the same bed/bunk?? And by sleep i mean sleep and only sleep??

How would that be taken? Anyone think thats bad?

i've seen it. not a big deal for me. but maybe the hostel employees won't like it. i doubt anyone will care too much.

only hooked up once in a hostel room...was with a guy i hadnt had the courage to "make a move on" while sober...but let me tell u...a long night of a pub crawl will get ur self confidence up a bit...haha... i snuck in his dorm room and climbed into bed with him and he definetly didnt mind being woken up...but we didnt have sex.... there was a few "shhhh!!!"'s before we finally slowed it down and i went back to my room and passed out...haha...

i felt kinda bad the next day that i had woken those people up but they never even saw my face cuz it was dark so i guess i got away with it...

dunno if i would attempt sex in a dorm room cuz of the reaction i got from just fooling around and barely making noise...

you guys who do have sex in beds must be pretty damn quiet

I haven't yet had sex in a hostel...but when the time comes that I do, I'll try to do it somewhere other than the bedroom...if that isn't possible, and especially if I'm drunk...I think I won't give two shits about the "shhhs" lol

ive lost count of all the dorms ive shared with couples bonking. after 3 months on the backpacking trail it all becomes second nature. sex is as natural as it gets so even when you are backpacking on a budget you may need to fulfill a few urges and get it on. no one expects you to be a nun or a monk

for the entire duration of your travels

not everyones budget extends to a private room that often so getting jiggy with it in the dorm/bathroom/behind the laundry does happen, especially in a strange town and after a few drinks, all we can ask is no screamers please, and investing in some ear plugs. after all, discretion is the better part of valour.

It is always the greatest when your roomates try to sneak sex because there is always some whispering, some unzipping, some rubbing, some heads disappearing, some crazy shadows on the wall, some coughing, some moaning, some wetness, some standing up and going to the bathroom, some spitting, some flushing, some coming back into the room and the guy leaving, some pissing, some water running, some coming back into the room, some kissing, some i love you's, some Z's

I was in a 4 person dorm once where this girl brought back a guy and they were totally going at it on the top bunk. The worst part of it was that her brother was on the bunk below her! Ick!

wow i never saw anyone having sex on my last trip to europe and thank goodness i probably wouldn't freaked out, not for prudishness but cos i'm such a light sleeper!!!!

snorers were my big issue.

my (ex now) boyfriend and i just got private rooms every few nights. discretion is a must!

although that said, i know that when i'm drunk discretion is the last thing of my mind!
