Jaeger's hostel Munich

Hi, I know its really early but ive been looking around at hostels for oktoberfest allready since ive been really bored during this uni break and I dont want to get caught up during semester and it end up being too late.

So anyway has anyone got any views positive or negative about this hostel? Searching these forums it seems like a few people were staying there last oktoberfest so did that turn out well? Or any other reviews.

Also looking at wombats but they dont let you book until june 1st so if I miss out on that it will probably be too late for other places.

i recommend wombats, I stayed there in munich and vienna. Clean rooms, great bars and a really good atmosphere. And the munich one is really easy to find from the train station.

I stayed at Jaeger's during Oktoberfest last year. It was clean and good and next door to Wombats. I had to get the 40-bed dorm since all else was full. I would say to reserve now and pay more for a smaller dorm if you want to get any sort of sleep. Other than that it is fine.

I met a lot of people that stayed at Wombats and they loved it too. Last year they also had Oktoberfest shirts for 2 euro that they will sell to anyone. Kinda handy for not having to do laundry hehe.

The bar in Jagers is always good and of course they have Jager. Lots of it. Their happy hour is really good as well. Great staff. Free wireless if you have a laptop.

Thanks alot for the replies, i think ill just go with Jaegers for the ability to book early and not risk missing out.

Another question, when is the best time to go? I was thinking its probably best to get there at the start although with my timetable the end might be easier although the party might start to wind down abit?
