Default sir toby's (prague)

for people who have stayed at sir toby's...

does sir toby's have security (ie you need to swipe a card or be buzzed in) or can anyone just walk in off the street?

also, are the showers inside the rooms or down the hall?

i have a 5 hour layover in prague and i reeelly wanna go into the city and get a shower

I believe you need to be buzzed in, but there are so many people coming and going that its not hard to grab the door when someone's leaving. The showers I'm not sure about - we had a private room that was en-suite. I feel like it was mostly en-suite, even the non-private rooms. Its this huge mansion, like 5 stories up. Cool place but I'm not sure if you'll be able to sneak in and shower up.

maybe if you catch a fellow traveler going in and explain your situation they might let you shower in their room? worth a shot!

The rooms were ensuite and if you are dying to get a shower I suppose you could buy a bed (it would probably be a 12 euro shower this time of year though). To be honest Lizz, I think a layover of 5 hours is not quite enough time to get through customs, go out to Sir Toby's, shower, walk for a bit and still get back with 2 hours left (you have an international flight to Istanbul right? or is this on the way back toward Budapest?)

Sir Toby is in Prague VII I believe so it takes a little bit of time to get out there.

I wonder if Prague's train station has a "McClean" equivalent to those in FranceGermanySwitzerland.

come to think of it, the Czech Inn's amazingly awesome showers are in the hallway and the only security getting to the hallways is that you need a swipe card to use the lift. but it wouldn't take long to hang about until someone else uses the lift... and those showers are amazing.

Ive never even been to Prague, but once I arrived at a hostel before book in time and they let me have a shower without even taking my details saying I can only book in later, turns out I went to the wrong hostel!!! You could always try something like that.
