I just wanted to post up this special that I discovered quite by accident.
Whilst booking in the Meininger city hostel (Meininger strasse) in Berlin, I noticed an option for a "Sunday special".
It seems if you book for at least 3 nights, and include a Sunday night, you get the Sunday night for half price!
For a twin room this saved us 23 euros! Bargain!
Did not find this special advertised on other hostel booking sites, only thru the hostel direct. Plus you don't need to pay a deposit, just give credit card details to secure your bed.
I am staying here in April so will let you know what it is like!

hey I stayed at that exact hostel over the summer and it was wonderfull the staff was incredably friendly and since I was in the shoulder season it was only 8.50 Euro per night
Very Clean Hostel in a good location (the one on Meininger Straße) just a note their is a Internet cafe and Alcohol store down the street from their called "drinks and more" that has extremly cheep beer i'm talking like 1 euro for a 66 ml alot better than the hostels price of 2.50 euro for a 33ml and they don't care if you bring the booze in.
and while in Berlin I highly recomend takeing the NewBerlin Free Walking tour it is Super. It is a free tour that last 4 hours and the Guides work for tips so they have to be good... it was most likeley the best tour I have been on... I tipped her 10 euro and most of the people in our group tipped around 5 to ten euro as well. Well worth it and take it on on one of your first days that way the next couple of days you can revisit some of those same sites and KNOW what is going on... The next day after I took the tour I Rewalked the tour by myself spending a total of around 8 hours rather than the 4 during the tour, it gave me time to actually look closley at we we saw the day before and take more picture and explore the shops at Checkpoint Charlie and go up in the TV tower get my picture taken with teh chocolet titanic. anyway I am rambling and in case you can't tell by now Berlin is one of my favorite Cities in the world.
Amd the hostel is great as well.

Thanks for the info and review! I read a heap of good reviews on the hostel, which is why I went with it.
I am really looking forward to Berlin. Well actually can't wait for ALL of my trip but I think Berlin will be one of the best spots I visit! Only 38 sleeps to go....

I love Berlin and the berlin walking tour...agriadam did you do the pub crawl? I got offered a job doing that over the summer....i also stayed at the meiniger hostel although the first couple of days i stayed there it was full of german kids on a school trip so that was a little frustrating but not to put you off, fab location makes up for it!
