Well, I am heading out on my first overseas venture soon, and I am doing the hostel things, but I have a strong feeling the travel bug will hit and stick hard, so I was checking out those crash for freetype places online for possible future use....i found another one along those lines - TravelRoomers - Any1 ever had any luck staying with any1 on sites like these? Accomadation fees add up fast and I would like to spend plan a nice long trip and this type of stay would be SUPER handy, but of course I am a bit scepitcal of this stuff....so any experiences would be great.

I've been looking at sites like that too, but that one has a fee, these two are free from the looks of things

When you look at it like that you've nothing to lose. Look's like you may have to be the guinie pig, while you being a guinnie pig I have some unmarked medication lieing around, it's ok it's ether asprin or mdma.

Just wanted to weigh in here and say I've hosted people twice who found me on Global freeeloaders, and been hosted by people I found on couchsurfing. All the experiences were great and I will continue to use the sites when I can.

They where talking about freeloaders on the radio this morning when I woke up. The presenter said the person that stayed with him just took advantage. He then went to someone in Barcelona and said the room was a tip. But I don't think he's really getting into the spirit of it all, he's a Dublin 4 toff from the sounds of it.
They did get alot of people sending in messages saying the service was great afterwards tough.
