Hey guys,
Im traveling from munich to paris and was intending to stop in Strabourg for a few nights, cant seem to find any decent accomidation- so any tips of places to stop at en route to paris would b great cus i have very little knowledge of the area!! Is it worth detouring as far as luxembourg or switzerland or just stick to france n germany????

Have you tried the hostle search on TPunk? Thats a good place to start.
Depending on how much time/money you have, it might be worth de-touring to Geneve or somewhere like that.

Take a look at Colmar, it's not far from Strasbourg and absolutely charming. Luxembourg's pretty far out of the way, but Switzerland is totally en route. Somewhere on Lake Constance would be beautiful, I'd guess. I don't know what train route you'll be taking, but you could just randomly pick a village along the line (doesn't hurt to Google it first and see if it has a place to stay!) and check that out for a day or two. We did that in Austria, between Vienna and Salzburg, and loved the place we chose so much that we stayed twice as long as planned. Or pick somewhere in Champagne. That could be nice, too...
