Has anyone in tpunk world heard anything about convents in Italy who offer inexpensive room/board for female travelers? If so, can you tell me about it? Locations, costs, comfortable accomodations, that kind of thing? I'm going to Italy next year and trying to plan somewhat ahead...plus the idea of me staying in a convent is strangely appealing...

Also, if anyone can recommend restaurants, bars and other interesting or out of the way things to do or see in Italy, that would be great. I'll probably visit the main cities, e.g. Rome, Florence, Venice, but any little out of the way town recommendations are welcome!

Hahahha! Yeah! Pretty funny! I'd say it's a good thing to sleep at a Monastery (it's quiet, but don't expect a private bathroom), even if your religion is 'alcool & sex'...Hehehh! :bomb:
