Hi all! So I leave for Europe in 11 days. I have my rail pass, Eurostar and I have booked my first night in London. But other than that I have not booked any other hostels. Now I was looking to book other nights on a hostel site and some of the weekends are booked. Will I be out on the street? I am so freaked out. I am going May 15- 31. I plan on staying in hostels and B and B’s. Will I find lodging or will I be homeless on my adventure?

WELCOME TO THE BOARDS!

Use the hostel search here to serach the cities you plan to visit and Im sure you can find someplace that will have a place you can sleep. The hostel search will have all the hostels, regualr hotels, and BandBs. Unless there is a festival at the town there will be usely somewhere that isn't booked and then there are somethat don't register on-line that will still be there. Good-luck!

I wish I was leaving in 11 days

Thanks for the help and words of encouragement. I am getting a little nervous. Today I freaked out as I am all ready to go but reconsidered making drastic changes. But after a pep talk froma friend I calmed down. You see it is my first trip to Europe and I am going solo. Doing some soul searching and what not. I want to be as flexible as possible so I think it will be hard to book all my rooms without feeling too tied down. Well, I guess I will live and learn, right???

You're right the best is to be flexible. Your trip will consist high moments and low moments and as long as you remain open-minded then even the low moments can be an unforgettable experince.

You can also book a day or two ahead as you travel in on-line cafes as to keep make sure you have a place to sleep the next day and not feel too tied down.

Good call. Plus, after a few days, you'll get a handle on how full the hostels really are. I think you're not hitting high season, so should be fine...
