Hi all,
I am looking for a cheep hostel in London that has a pretty central location. Any ideas?
Also, at the end of May I am seeing a concert in London and will only be staying for one night, does anyone know of a hostel near the Carling Apollo Hammersmith Queen Caroline Street?
Thanks a lot
~Ellen

That's near the Hammersmith tube station, so you'll want something in West London. There are tons of hostels in Bayswater (we have a resident staffer near Hyde Park - right, Bellelass?)
St. Christopher's Sheperd's Bush is near the venue, as is the Globetrotter Inn.
But since the tube is so convenient, you can easily pick out a hostel recommended by the folks here and you won't have to worry too much about where you are for the night.

Yeah, i stayed in a few places in and around london. I liked the bayswater area, kinda reminded me of Melbourne a bit. and the hostel i stayed at was quite good.
Stayed in an old nurses residence in hammersmith with a mate that had been turned into a hostel (just remembered it was called Abercorne House), and it was good for weeklong stays. There was like 5 kitchens on each floor, and 4 bathrooms... We had basically our own amenities right across the hall. Not real good if you want to meet people but. Make sure you go to an oldskool disco in hammersmith palace... good fun.
St Christophers in shepards bush was a good stay too. GOod fun. Good pub below, and 20mins walk to hammersmith.

Hyde Park Inn, Bayswater.
Shepards Bush is awesome though... Go there all the time. Walkabout owns...
