Need help for beds in Athens!

first of all I would like to WELCOME chana to the boards!



Secondly, we are hittin up some chat and chana has a prob. August is a hellacious time of year to be in Athens with olympics and all, so I was wondering if anyone has tips on beds or homestays, anything decent thats open for that timeframe.

Yeah, I'll be passing through there with 2 or 3 friends the second week of August on the way to Istanbul. I guess its impossible to avoid Athens, as we intend to hit up Thessaloniki and cross into Turkey. Anyhow, if anyone plans to be around there, or wants to share a secret, I'm all ears.
