Some universities rent out student dorm rooms durinf the summer months, this is very popular in France and many other European countries. You will have to share a bath, but you may just get your own room. Check with universities to see if this is available.

Ahhh University..... ( I have a vision of Girls Gone Wild), ( and the song "If I Could Turn Back Time" playing in my head) :D :D :D B)

Dude, I hear that! If I was 21 again

The university thing is a good idea. I´m not really sure on how to go about that, other than contacting each university individually.
Anyone with experience in staying at a university?

We stayed at a dorm in Edmonton. Not exactly overseas, but it worked! It was $25 for 4 of us-and child appropriate. We weren't there much, it was just a place to sleep while we visited relatives. But, it beat having to stay with my aunt!
