Hostels in Copenhagen
Hi, I'm planning a trip to Copenhagen for 3 to 4 days with my friend and we are looking for a quite sheap but still nice and clean hostel. Can anyone suggest any good hostels from there. My friend can be quite picky sometimes and for exemple she didn't like the idea of mixed rooms. So I think we are going to end up in hotel if she doesn't chance her mind about it. But anyway, if you can help my anyways, i'd appreciate it!!!! Thanks!!! :D

I was traveling with someone similar - they really didn't like the idea of mixed rooms (with strangers, we had 2 guys 2 girls) - or shared bathrooms. With that in mind we looked for budget hotels. We decided to stay at the Hotel Nebo in Copenhagen and ended up LOVING it. Its not even a block from the central train station, they have free breakfast, free internet in the lobby, and a really helpful staff. Not to mention that there are fun cool pubs and clubs a few blocks away in Vesterbro. Google Hotel Nebo and see what kinda rates you can get...

we stayed at the Sleep in Heaven or something like that, it was really good. we stayed in a big mixed dorm though, i'm not sure what the other rooms were like

Thanks to both of you!! I was actually looking the hotel nebo's website and it looked nice. I think we have to book a hotel because of my friend, so that nebo place sounds really good! :) And those pubs and clubs sounds good too!

Another thing about the Hotel Nebo - you can get a private room but use the shared bathrooms which we looked at and were actually really nice and clean. If i had known that I wouldn't have booked an en-suite room.
And they have free spring (still) water in the lobby. I filled up my water bottle from it twice a day and never had to pay for a drink. |
That bathroom "thing" sounds really good! Because of my friend I'm gonna have to make some arrangements that I wouldn't normally be even thinking about. So were ever we can save some money, we will try! :D Her other problem is that she doesn't have much money but she is still refusing from the cheapest option, sleeping in a dorm in hostel. :D Can you tell me how much does is it cost to eat in a restaurant in there, about? Weird sentence!! :D I mean, is food expensive in Denmark? :D
Sorry for bad english!! :D |
Don't worry about it, your english is great. Certainly better than my Finnish.
I thought the food was very expensive but maybe since you are from Finland you will be used to it. The two cheapest pubs we found were the Wall Street and the Moose. The Moose is near the center of town. Its very small but really fun. It has a Happy Hour special on Saturday night - 2 for 1! Here are some pictures from the Moose... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3238/...a0d49602e3.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3139/...e5231f7221.jpg Kippis! |
Oh thank you! :) Yes that is true, Finland is expensive country so I was thinking that denmark might be as expensive aswell. Well maybe we just don't eat out every night! :D Or if we are lucky maybe some nice danish guys will buy us a dinner! :D
That pub looks good, we have to go and check that out! Thanks for the tip! :D Now I just have to book the hotel and flights and we're good to go!! :D |
