Hey guys, i'm looking for a hostel in amsterdam... something other than the flying pig or the bulldog (unfortunately they're all booked up for when i want to go) anyone have anything they can recommend?

Yeah, its called a hotel, but very much like a hostel and they are "smoke" friendly. Free internet and free breakfast....

I've seen Hotel Annemarie and the Budget Hotel Tourist Inn seem to get pretty good reviews, anyone had any experience?
Hmm ok... scrap that, i've just managed to book The Bulldog via the new travelpunk booking site... weird that i couldn't get it with the others, but i'm not gonna complain! :D

Not a slur on the TP booking site, but my friend stayed at the Bulldog earlier in the year and booked it online and they literally had no idea who he was and had no reference to his booking!
Yeah I was going to suggest emailing the Bulldog directly but it looks like you got it worked out. Definitely follow up and make sure you have a confirmation directly from them.
