Paris Hostels, which area should I stay in?!
I'm going to be in Paris for a couple of days in June. I was originally thinking about staying at the BVJ Louvre because it's close to almost everything I'd like to see. However, I just found a listing for a hostel in Montmartre called Caulaincourt Square Hostel and I thought it might be really cool to stay in that area. Most of the reviews I read said it has a "local vibe" (whatever that means) not to mention cheap drinks and breakfast. It also looked like it's on a metro line so even if it's not walking distance to the museums I want to see I can just hop on the metro.
I couldn't tell if that hostel has a lockout, didn't see any mention of one. Has anyone stayed there before?
And of course, which area would be the most exciting to stay in for meeting locals and getting a really good feel for less-touristy, "hip" Paris?
