O.K. FUCK that site. Don't even waste your time logging on. I had over 40 pop ups in less than 5 seconds. Froze my computer up just like that, and I had to reboot. maybe it was just me but I wouldn't waste my time.

of the sites like that, i've found couchsurfing.com to be the best. I've never personally used it, but plan to and know some people who have and they loved it. and the site is set up really well.

I signed up for freeloaders but for some reason the site always boots me off or doesnt let me use the controls. I've used couchsurfing.com both as a host and as a surfer and all my experiences have been great! I have a friend in OZ now that says I'm welcome there anytime (and she mails me presents) as well as friends in Alaska and another nomadic friend that stayed with me for a night.

Yup couchsurfings a good one. I've hosted a good few people but haven't used it on travels yet.

Out of all these websites, I like Couchsurfing the most, I haven't hosted but surfed a couple times for holidays and a few more times just for attending meetings. Every time it's been loads of fun.
I hear it's hard to find hosts in some places though, like Spain. I haven't yet tried it myself though.

I've used both couchsurfing and hospitalityclub for both hosting and surfing and it really is a fantastic experience. It can sometimes be difficult to find a host, espiecally if you don't arrange it at least a few weeks in advance, but most of the time it's worth the hassle, espiecally if you're in a country where not many people speak English as the hosts generally do.
