Hollz

I'm taking the train from Prague- Berlin in order to catch a flight to Athens.
Can anybody tell me what hostel I should stay at that's close to the train station and inexpensive? Maybe something kind of in between the train station and the the Shoenfield airport?

any advice would be good, otherwise I'm just going to guess from the hostel descriptions!

A&O Mitte is really close to ostbahnhof...however its some corporate shit...clean and not too expensive but very large and impersonal...they also have one really close to Zoo...i dunno i don't like corporate shit but it was alright...

The public transport is so reliable and easy to use that it shouldnt be a problem to get to the airport from wherever you stay in Berlin.

a few weeks ago I stayed in the Circus hostel on Rosa-Luxemburg str (theres 2 circus hostels in berlin, so make sure you pick the right one!). the hostel was really nice, clean rooms and a cool bar. and its only 5 minutes walk from Alexander Platz, where you can get the S-Bahn (local train) directly to the airport.

Here is the Local transport map as a pdf. the airport is bottom right. follow the purple line to find alexander platz.

That hostel is pretty central as well, only 10-15 minutes walk from the main sights

Personally, I would suggest 'heart of gold' hostel as they seem to be the most centrally located, affordable and nice.
