I found a really awsome looking hostel in Amsterdam that i'd love to book, the trouble is there's only one room, which is private and has 4 beds... and there's two of us. I don't think its worth paying for 4 beds for two people, but I'd really love to stay there. What do you guys think about the idea of either finding 2 people online (either through this site or another) and sharing the room with them? Good idea? Bad idea? What about paying for the whole thing and hopefully finding someone headed to/in Amsterdam who needs a place to stay for the night? Would I be crazy to do that? I'd love to meet new people, but it is a private room so I'm not sure there are places to store valuables and since it's kind of close quarters we'd have to enjoy hanging out with echother... if we ended up with the wrong people it would kind of defeat the point

What's so good about this hostel? Doesn't it have dorm rooms?? I wouldn't want to have to worry about finding other people so i would just go to another hostel with dorm rooms. Although, i did stay in a place like this in France, luckily for us their was another dude there looking for a room so we all just got a private room and we got along really bloody well so it was great!! But still, i would just go to another hostel.

The reason it looks so cool is that it's not the typical hostle... it's a houseboat: http://www.hostelworld.com/availability.ph...-Amsterdam-4263

I just thought it would be really cool to say we sat out on a house boat one night in amsterdam smoking with some crazy guy called the captain and listening to reggae lol

I think that is a really unique idea...it's worth a shot trying to find someone online

I'd go ahead and book it for four people. You can look online as suggested, or else hit people up when you get to ADam (come on little girl, don't you want to stay in my room? Or maybe something less creepy. )
