Also, does Hanoi (or Vietnam in general) offer free STD tests (HIV, HEP A, etc...) at their health clinics or hospitals?

If not free, which specific clinics/hospital should expats go to for results they can count on?

Also, if you have direct experience, do these clinics just accept cash and start the procedure or are they more complicated than that (i.e. do they make you do an official physical, or ask for medical records, etc...)?

No idea about your specific questions, but in general if you want to get a referral to a reliable clinic or hospital that meets western standards, your best bet is to contact your Embassy in country. You may even be able to get the info on-line, or at least by email.

The US State Dept website specific country pages may also have the info you need.
