This just happened. Not sure what the exact circumstances were, but a couple of fellow backpackers didn't get a chance to finish their dream backpacking trip.
yeah, this is terrible... i read about it last week and, interestingly, there was another tourist murder in the same place just last year - what a weird and murderous town this has turned out to be. i'm glad i'm not planning to visit kanchanaburi when i return in march, whew.
may the souls of those poor kids find their proper place in the universe.

yeah southeast asian people have really hot tempers... he shoulda just left the joint if he didnt like everyone checking out his woman.... when you go off the beaten path in southeast asia bad shit can happen ... you just cant get cocky and shit in someone elses country... the deceased are lucky they know who their killer is... most of the time they probably just dissapear.
