Joan,
Have you been under a lot of stress or is there some kind of change at work or in your life that is effecting your normal body routines? Sometimes when you have a sudden change in the chemistry of your body it's your body's way of tell you something is up that it's not used to. It might also be a build up of toxins and salts with in your body due to dehydration... try increasing your water intake.

yeah, the more i've thought about this - it makes sense. no, i haven't been drinking enough water at all - i basically live off boba tea - no joke! i've also been stressed at work AND the weather has changed like mad! i mean, it rained and was like 60 degrees for the past 10 days and today it's almost 90! now, now - the funk started back when it was still cold - which baffled me further. ah, whatever. it's bound to cool down sometime - i HOPE

In the meantime, while you're waiting for everything to stabilize... you can always do the "field shower" method ... bring some baby wipes (unscented) and pop off for a quick pit swipe if it's noticeable...

I'm a rare deodorant girl myself but not cuase I choose not to... I'm just lazy and forgetful.. I must not smell that bad if I can forget it all the time and not care... I pretty much only wear it out to clubs at night... never know when you're gonna be grooving with some hottie... don't want smelly pits then, ruins all chances of a good makeout session (snog for you beergal )

But yeah ummmm I would recommend a good shower and shave and see what happens without the D.O.

I think it's the hair... but I dunno.

Well, I used to get the funk real bad but then a few months ago I got a bad reaction to some deoderant and since then I havnt used any and I dont stink, I kinda like that the rash is gone and so is the smell I really think that you get addicted to Deo.

i think deodorant actually causes you to get smelly.* kinda like your body gets addicted to it and can't de-funk itself without it.
Yea, I am totally of that mind set...anti-perspirant is proven to be bad for your body. Monsignor, you said it dude...it actually makes you sweat less than your body deems necessary..not good. Anyhow, I think some people need something to cover the B.O. smell, but some people don't. It's been 7 or 8 years since I have used deodorant (more than like once or twice a year). [/b]
ACTUALLY, your body needs to control its internal tempatures no matter what, If you use antipersperant its true you sweat less in your armpits, but you will sweat more elsewhere. ie your back, or your ass, aka Swass. all deoderant does is covers over the smell of BO and replaces it. Like Febreze does to fabrics.

Alot of people whom claim not to use deoterants say "I dont smell." Well my friend I have bad news for you. You do. after about a weeks time, whe your body "adjusts" itself, the only adjusting it does it the nose gets use to the smell. Like a worker at a lard processing plant. After awhile you dont notice.

Do everyone a favor, wash and buy some deo.

sorry, but I have a friend that uses that argument. We dont let him in the car anymore. it gets too unbearable. When he farts its a breath of fresh air.

I sweat so much while at work, most times I take a shower before and after. And spray some deodorant multiple times. For instance, yesterday, it was 95 and high humidity-off-and-on raining. I was in the kitchen of a mansion, cooking dinner for 75 by myself with two 575 degree convection ovens, and two deep hotel pans loaded with a rolling boil of water for blanching my veggies.

It was easily over 105 degrees in there. I was dunking my head in ice water to keep cool, and reapplied the spray 3-4 times easily...

Needless to say, my chef whites were soaked... and i was a stinky, stinky mess. with the amount of water weight i lose in a kitchen sweating, if i didn't deodor, etc, it'd be unbearable...

I'm so glad this post was revived Now wheres that one about wiping?

I shave - everything - I always always wear deoderant and usually reapply if I'm heading out. I also wash with those spongey loofah type things that no one knows what they're actually called to exfoliate, especially under arms. One smell that is so nauseating is BO and I agree with Qwardian, just because you think you don't smell doesn't mean you don't. I would much rather walk into a room and be told I smell good then walk into a room and knock people over.
