i have stuck to orbitz since my college days(not so long back) for getting my tickets booked...but talking to people i realised at times there were better deals elsewhere on the net which i missed(chance to save some decent money lost).. on other airlines ..i tried a few other sites but more often than not i gave up the search more frustrated each time...
but this is really cool ...checkout "smartrover" on download.com.....it searches a dozen airline websites for you,(orbitz, travelocity expedia southwest etc) . just fill one form, give alternate dates, your email if you want mail notification...and it will give you a whole bunch of cheap fares to choose from...
only drawback being a heavy download...but on fast net connections that wont pinch....as much as it is useful and free!!!

yes that one is quite good! but this one has found better results for me Boarding Pass

it searches more than 60 sites including Orbitz, travelocity, lowestfares and all the major airlines. like the first one, this is quite slow on dial up but with a faster connection it zips through the fares with a sick quickness.

Hint: click on Boarding Pass on the page for more info

i did not notice a significant difference in the prices they popped. one thing i definitely like about smartrover is it lets me search over a range of dates, and the email notification is a pretty nice add on.
bp keeps giving these "site down" messages which i couldnt understand because rover was giving me the results at the same time. try this you can get it at SmartRover.
happy price hunting
