Just wondering what the sensus is on money belts. Do people use them, if so do they use the ones around the waist, or the ones that go around the neck.

Initially I thought the ones around the waist, but after talking to some experienced people they say it gets very annoying and they ended up just putting everything in their day pack.

So I was thinking maybe there is something else out there, and found this: http://www.pac-safe.com/product.aspx?pId=649

what do people think?

Thanks,

Dave.

I have no problems with the one that goes around the waist.. I dunno, it feels nice and secure riding above my jewels.

Try it out. I thought I wouldnt like it, but its becomes routine and much less hassle than worrying about a wallet.

Or you could go with canadian dude's idea and sew a pocket on the inside of your pants.

CD - you patented that yet ?

The thing is, you'd have to sew that into all your pants... with the money belt, it doesn't really matter which ones I'm wearing, and I can sleep with it too, when I'm feeling extra paranoid. (Had to do that when camping out in a tent w/ a bunch of strangers...) I dunno, I guess I just don't mind the moneybelt thing, although I did wind up with The Most Crushed US Passport Ever™.
